Asbestos Management

Asbestos was a product that was widely used in the construction of buildings prior to the early 1980's due to the fire retarding, thermal, and weaving properties of the fibres that icreasingly made them an ingredient of choice in various building materials.

More recently the serious and often fatal health effects associated with exposure to asbestos fibres have become evident and governments across the country have introduced regulations to protect workers and building occupants from exposure to asbestos. In spite of these discoveries, known health risks and regulations some forms of asbestos are still used in the manufacture of construction materials to this day.
